Falkirk's Owen Hayward has signed for Berwick Rangers, following the expiry of his contract at Tranent. The 21-year-old goalkeeper made 5 appearances for the Belters last season. Prior to that, he was at Falkirk, where he rose through the youth ranks. Following loan spells at Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath, Owen departed the Falkirk Stadium to pursue a career in medicine. With Liam Campbell moving on from the club at the end of the 2025/6 season, Owen was identified as our first choice to replace Liam, so manager Kevin Haynes and his coaches are delighted to have secured his signature. Owen will soon link up with the rest of the very strong Berwick goalkeeper corps, which comprises of Owen, Calum Antell and Thomas Kay, and is coached by Ross Merrilees. 'Gers fans will get their first chance to see Owen and the rest of his teammates this Saturday as the team participate in a public training session at MKM Shielfield Park from 11am to 2.15pm. Entry is free and 'Gers fans are encouraged to come among and watch the session. Player sponsorship for Owen will be available on Monday 15 June, along with all available packages.
